We enjoyed our dinner inside Galletto Ristorante in downtown Modesto. We were gifted with a glass of sparkling wine by our host, in honor of our 47th wedding anniversary. We started with an appetizer of Gnocchi al Tartufo. It’s one of the best foods I’ve ever ate! Soft pillows of potato-based pasta encircled in a wonderous creamy truffle marinara sauce. Our entrees were Pappardelle Bolognese and Galletto pizza. Pared with Rombauer Zinfandel. We hope to celebrate again next year, or sooner. Excellent service, food and wine, and of course incredible ambiance.
