This café/bakery is another “gem” in the gold country.

Real ice cream milk shakes, fresh baked breads,

buns, cookies and pies.  Last June we indulged in their

Friday burger night special.  It’s the only night they’re open

late, otherwise Wednesday-Sunday 8-4.  We want to go

back for breakfast because our dinner was so outstanding.

We had the “Burger night special”,  BLT burger on a

ciabatta bun. We loved the ciabatta bun but thought

it over whelmed the meats and trimming.  IMHO

thick slices of their house made white bread or brioche

bun would improve this combination so the juices from

the beef, bacon, tomato, onion, crisp lettuce and mayo

would give better mouth feel and favor with each bite.

Hard to wrap your mouth around.

There was only 1 piece of fresh apricot pie left, so we
ordered it saved for our desert.  Everything’s fresh baked!

Fresh apricots have a very short season, OMG this pie

was so perfect and over the top with vanilla bean caramel

swirled  ice cream.
