Italian Dinner

We recently made a trip to the Amador wine county.

After wine tasting we headed up to Pine Grove for a fun &

nostalgic dinner at Giannini’s.  Their beautiful family

style dinners inspired me to make this Italian meal for

half-time on Super Bowl Sunday.

My meat balls & Marinara sauce were inspired by Tony

Gemignani’s recipes.   The Focaccia is sourdough, and

I just sort of threw it together   For a truly Italian inspired

salad dressing and dip, I invented Duck Onion Dip/Dressing

The pasta was an organic non-GMO semolina. Here’s a

little tip, cooking pasta to just under done, then adding

2-5 cups of cold water to the pot, keeps it hot for serving

with out over cooking.  My dessert (best of all time!) was a

Raspberry Chocolate Semifreddo.  Recipe coming soon!

You can see how excited everyone was to be eating, they

paid no attention to the camera.
