Egg Face

 

One looks like my neighbor’s dog.

Made these with home made Aioli * mixed into

the hard boiled egg yoke, decorated with pickled

green peppercorns.

*Aioli is a sauce made of garlic and olive oil;

some regions use other emulsifiers such as egg.

The names mean “garlic and oil” in Catalan and

Provençal. It is found in the cuisines of the

Mediterranean coasts of Spain (Valencia,

Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Murcia and

eastern Andalusia), France (Provence) and

Italy (Sicily and Calabria).
