This is a very easy recipe. You can change the flavors to your tastes. Let go, be creative and enjoy! It’s fun when something so good for you also tastes great. Chia seeds list total carbs at 5g. and dietary fiber at 5g. per serving, making them zero digestible carbs. It appears chia seeds have so many health benefits I can’t even list them all. I’ll just say huge health, nutrition, weight loss, energy, and metabolic benefits. It’s a little bit fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants recipe, but then most of mine are.
Chia Chips
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 teaspoon unrefined salt
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- Optional herbs and spices of your choice
Add water to seeds, mix well. Soak for 2-6 hours. Add spices/herbs/ Spread on parchment lined baking sheet. Around 1/8 inch think. Bake at 300-350 degrees for 45 minute. Gently flip. Bake another 45 minutes. Check, for chip like dryness. If outer portion is done, remove it and bake any wet portions until dry and crisp. Enjoy with salsa.
